Recht großes Schild der Massai. Der Rahmen und die Griffhalterung sind aus Holz und Rattan gefertigt Rahmen. Die Schildbespannung besteht aus Leder (evtl. Büffelleder) und besitzt eine umfangreiche, mehrfarbiger Bemalung. Die farbigen Zeichen bringen die militärische Rangstufe des Kriegers zum Ausdruck. Dieser Schildtyp diente als Kampfschild und Schutz bei der Löwenjagd.
